Information we collect
We may receive your name, phone number, email address, job postcode or address, enquiry details, photographs, correspondence and information about a booking or payment. You provide this when you contact us, request a quote or arrange work. Please avoid sending sensitive documents, information about other people or photographs that are not needed for the job.
How and why we use it
We use your information to discuss your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange and carry out agreed work, respond to questions, keep business records and meet legal obligations. We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract or carrying out a contract where relevant; legal obligations for records we must keep; and our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving our business for other necessary communications and security.
Who receives information
When you email us, Google processes messages in the business inbox. We may also share necessary information with accountants, advisers, waste facilities or regulators where needed for work or legal duties.
How long we keep information
We aim to review and delete enquiries that do not lead to work after 12 months. We keep relevant booking, invoice and tax records for the periods required by law, normally at least five years after the relevant Self Assessment filing deadline. Information may be kept longer where needed for a legal obligation, dispute or insurance claim. Photographs not needed for these purposes should be deleted sooner.
Storage and security
We use reasonable measures such as limiting access to the business inbox and protecting accounts. Email, website hosting and form providers may process information outside the UK; international transfers need appropriate safeguards where required by law. No method of sending information online is completely secure.
Marketing and photographs
We do not add enquiry details to a marketing list simply because you contact us. We will ask before using identifiable customer photographs or testimonials in marketing.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to or correction of your information, ask for it to be erased or its use restricted, object to certain uses, or request a portable copy.
