GOOD TO KNOW

A few things you might be wondering

Something else on your mind?

Ask Waste Wise
Is the brick base or concrete foundation included?

Only if specifically assessed and included in the written quotation. Frame and roof removal do not automatically include dwarf walls, a slab or foundations.

Do I need permission to remove a conservatory?

Requirements depend on the building and the work. Check relevant permissions and building-control requirements before proceeding; the quotation should make responsibilities clear.

What photographs should I send?

Include the whole conservatory, roof, inside, connection to the house, any brick base and the route to the road. Approximate dimensions are useful too.

What about electrics, plumbing or unknown roofing?

Mention them at the enquiry stage. Any isolation or specialist work must be agreed separately. Do not disturb suspected asbestos or unidentified materials.

How long will dismantling take?

The structure, its materials and access determine the work involved. A realistic schedule can be discussed after assessment; there is no blanket one-day promise.
